Black on Black & Zebra Print

When you can’t think of anything to wear, black will ALWAYS save the day!

I have to admit, as I was getting ready for church, I had NO idea what to wear. I mean it was one of those toss-clothes-everywhere-like-a-tornado kind of not knowing what to wear.

As I felt myself getting frustrated (and defeated by cotton) I noticed my black blazer in the right corner of my room and a black shirt in the left. I thought to myself: “Self, you can make this work” and then myself responded: “Self, you’re right!”

As I continued to observe the aftermath of clothes tornado, I stumbled upon a black and white zebra print pencil skirt. One thing that I’ve learned about printed pencil skirts is that you can never go wrong with a solid color black or white shirt. And that’s exactly what I did.

Since the skirt had a few pops of color, to it some razzle-dazz, I decided to play off of the fuschia by wearing my peep toed pumps of the same color. And to my surprise, it worked out very nicely. (Self high-five!).

Sometimes it’s so easy to let the clothes demon win when trying to find something to wear. And it’s easy to feel defeated and just want to give up.

But remember, don’t. Because when you do, you end up missing out on something that could have been amazing. And when you find out just how amazing it was, it just makes more mad that you missed it all on account of clothes. While you may be worried about what to wear, I can guarantee the ones who are going to see you will be focused on you and just happy that you made it.

So when in luck, black it up! Enjoy life and all of the moments that come along with it!

Until next time…
